Getting about 30 seconds of "talk" can take over two hours when it comes to setup, shooting, downloading, and breakdown of equipment when we're finished. Add to that travel time, and you can see that it is imperitive that we get all we need and get it right the first visit!

After scheduling a day and time for filming, the next task will be selecting the shooting locations for filming interviews and any "B" roll for "cutaways."

"B-Roll" will supplement other media that participants can provide to help visualize your story. Unfortunately, time constraints as busy Midshipmen and security requirements in the fleet typically prevented us from taking many photos at work as Midshipmen and officers. Most media that we have of ourselves is ceremonial or while on liberty.

All participants will need to complete an "Interview Release Agreement" to participate in front of the camera. We'll also need a Location Release from the owner of the location where we are shooting.

We would like to get some "B-Roll" for cutaways as to where you are now in the world, either in the course of your normal routines or engaged in an activity that is near to you.
